Arcane Roots – King Tuts, Glasgow

Arcane Roots were the one band I wanted to see this year. In fact, I’d have swapped all of the other gig tickets in my possession to catch these guys play live on this tour. They’re a band who seem to be flying under the radar to many but I reckon that’s all going to change very soon with the release of their third album imminent.

Here are some photos, mostly from the first three tracks of their set, and another few from throughout the night. After the initial three tracks I spent most of my time standing on the raised benches behind the sound desk where we could see everything from a high vantage point. To see the crowd move, swell then go absolutely mental at times was something I haven’t experienced too often in King Tuts, a venue that’s become something of a second home in the past couple of years. A special night indeed.
